Jägerndorfer 3S Three Cable Gondola
The innovative 3S cable car system was developed in the early 1990s by VonRoll Transporttechnik and was first used at the Alpine Express in Saas Fee.
After Von Roll was taken over by Doppelmayr, the 3S system has been continuously developed.
In 2002, the first Doppelmayr 3S was built in Val d isere. This was followed by the world-famous 3S in Kitzbühel and Whistler, with its huge clamping surfaces and ground clearances. For BUGA 2011, the construction of a 3S specially developed for urban use began in 2009.
The 3S cabin from CWA / Doppelmayr has now been further developed and is now in use on the Kitzsteinhorn in a modern design.
